Sir John Oldcastle, Farringdon
FancyaPint?'s review...
The Sir John Oldcastle is a typical Wetherspoon pub - a large place with cheap beer, cheap food and open all day. As is becoming the norm in Wetherspoon pubs, it's going with the times and now sports a number of TV screens around the place usually showing some sporting occasion and sometimes the news. This pub has cleaned up its act in recent years - it was once a bit of dodgy place - and it had already banned smoking well in advance of the legislation introduced recently. It's a decent enough watering hole for the workers in these parts, but for pub aficionados, it's not a "must visit".
